Sunday, Apr. 24, 2005 - 3:30 p.m. Sorry for the post-lack yesterday. I ended up having a very busy, very fun day. Holly and I met for a late lunch, and then things took off from there. We went shopping for cleats and a soccer ball (for her), got a couple movies, took a drive to Verona, watched Bound, went to an art show, went to the Union for poker night, and finally watched The Graduate. It was a good day. We played soccer today. On a cold, very windy day we had a surprisingly high scoring affair at 6-5. Unfortunately, we lost. However, I think they were a much better team - they just had a ton more team speed than we did. We hung in there. From Plastic Passion on westwash.org: I really wanted the Vikings to draft Mike Williams, but Williamson might be the better pick. I can't really say, since I don't know anything about him. I'm quite pleased with Erasmus James, though. Our defensive line is going to be fantastic in two years. It looks like I am going to watch the Bulls play the Wizards at 4:30. I have to do something, now that the Timberwolves aren't in the playoffs. The Celtics won, so I am happy. I suppose I should also practice my defense. Ben and I tried to think of 10 Canadian bands. Not solo artists, so Celine Dion and Corey Hart don't count. Just bands. We were successful: 1. Rush Also: Kim Wilde did "Keep Me Hanging On." "Love Child" was covered by Sweet Sensation. "Point of No Return" and "Let Me Be the One" were by Expose. Also Crazy Horse: Californian. We went to La Hacienda after the soccer game. I was unsuccessful in two languages at determining if they used lard in the beans and chicken broth in the rice. I ended up getting the guacamole/chip plate. "On this day which began as execution day - and sure enough! - became execution day." |
